The Clinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program at San Jose State University is a 12 month training program that prepares students to take the ASCP national exam for Clinical Laboratory Scientists. The training program is a 40 hour per week commitment with an emphasis on hands-on learning in the hospital setting. Most weeks, students will spend 32 hours training at a clinical site and 8 hours in lecture.

The Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist Training Program at San Jose State University is a 12 month training program that prepares students to take the national ASCP exam for the Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license. The training program is a 40 hour per week commitment with an emphasis on hands-on learning in one of our participating biotechnology laboratories. Most weeks, students will spend 32 hours in hands-on training and 8 hours in lecture.
We are currently training our first group of CGMBS students and are accepting applications for our next group to begin in Fall of 2012. Application deadline is December 1, 2011. Prerequisites and application instructions are included with the application download.
